The platform is to be a source of technologies and solutions to improve agricultural production. In the Technology Platform for Sustainable Agriculture understand Sustainable Agriculture not an option but as an indispensable and unquestionable model, where we are able to meet the current needs of citizens, without mortgaging future generations. Hence the need to maximize production efficiency, minimizing the resources used per unit of food produced and ensuring food quality and safety. We face Sustainable Agriculture from the analysis and diagnosis of the reality of the agro-food production, from reality the Spanish sector integrated into the European Union and as part of a global context, where agro-food production has ceased to be something local to become a global activity. |
